DIY Decoupage Vases

This fantastic DIY project from Urban Comfort is proof that you can create elegance and style on a modest budget! You’ll need 1) white containers (try ceramic teacups or bowls); white eyelet lace (you can buy at any craft or fabric store. Here’s an example of what to look for); Mod Podge in matte finish; a foam brush; and pointed Q-tips (for touch-ups).

Remember that having various containers of different shapes and sizes will increase the number of ways you can use them uniquely in your wedding. For example, a very wide, shorter container would be a great centerpiece, especially if you wanted to display your wedding flowers. However, a teacup or much smaller glass container might be better as candle holder or even wedding favor (especially if you put some great goodies inside). Also remember that you can manipulate the effect of each container simply by choosing your lace strategically: some lace designs/patterns are more fun and informal than other designs/patterns, which are more elegant and formal.
